In the early 1980s, ADC founders Marc Blitstein and Neal Weingart shared a vision of a medical device company built on global manufacturing partnerships and vibrant domestic production. They opened shop on Long Island and got to work.
ADC was an early pioneer of a global production model, sourcing components from the world’s leading ISO 9000 manufacturers then hand-fabricating domestically. This blended approach to production is why ADC instruments are priced considerably lower while exceeding the highest standards for quality.
Today, more than 50% of the products in our line are assembled, tested, and packaged in our 44,000-square-foot global headquarters in Hauppauge, New York. A full 90% undergo some value-added finishing.
The heart of our business is our people. We employ about 115 in New York, including our executive team, customer service, quality control, warehouse and production, and shipping.
Our employees are uniquely committed to our mission, with more than 25% logging 20+ years with ADC. That adds up to more than 1,400 years of dedicated experience – a true rarity in today’s world.
Over the past four decades, ADC’s product line, customer base, and approach to manufacturing and distribution have evolved greatly. Today, we’re an industry leader, known not just for the extraordinary tools we create but also for the exceptional care we extend to our customers and communities.
This commitment extends far beyond our catalog. As a company, we dedicate our time and resources towards the goal of bettering the world we live in, efforts that include financial and in-kind support for trusted organizations that serve locally, nationally, and internationally.
